THE LEADVILLE SNOWSHOE MARATHON & HALF MARATHON
For the second year, Smokey brought snowshoe racing back to Leadville! 30 hardcore racers showed up at the Mt. Massive Golf Course on a classic Colorado bluebird Saturday. As the runners gathered for the start of the race, the vibe was this is going to be tough, but let’s go have some FUN! As one racer described, “Today was a great race with a good mix of single track, climbing & speedy groomers.” Wahoo!
Winner of the day, and Leadville local, Tim Parr with a time of 3:49.40. Coming in first for ladies with a time of 4:49.20 was Hard Rock champion, Darcy Piceu.
