The Father Dyer Postal Route is a ski mountaineering team race in the Mosquito Range just east of Leadville. This race is the highest backcountry course in North America, and takes racers up 3 peaks over 12,000' including Centennial 13er Dyer Mountain (13,855’)and involves three demanding backcountry ski lines.

A beautiful course around the lake. First half on the road, then finish up on the singletrack. Individuals 18 and under participate for free. Proceeds benefit Lake County Sports Hall of Fame, preregister in-store at Melanzana or www.ultrasignup.com

6/3 — Fish Hatchery 5k
Located at the historic Leadville National Fish Hatchery, the event features a scenic cross country style course that winds through subalpine forest near and around the Evergreen Lakes and lower Rock Creek area. The route consists of dirt road, path and trail.

6/16 — Leadville Trail Marathon and Heavy Half
The course for both of these races is out and back through the historic mining district on the east side of Leadville.

Celebrate the 4th of July in North America's highest incorporated city: good ol' Leadville, CO! Start/finish downtown. Parade will follow the race. Pre-register at Melanzana or www.ultrasignup.com. 7/7 — Silver Rush 50 Mountain Bike Race
The 50-mile out-and-back course takes racers through the historic mining district on the east side of Leadville. Primarily on double track dirt roads, first set by miners and their burros, it will begin at the Cloud City Ski Hut (located just below Colorado Mountain College on Hwy 24 on the South end of Leadville). The start will be a dramatic mass start up Dutch Henry Hill to an old mining road, taking riders through the grand and historic mining district.

7/8 — Silver Rush 50 Trail Run Race
This run is conducted on the same course as the Silver Rush 50-Mile Mountain Bike Race.
The 50-mile out-and-back course takes racers through the historic mining district on the east side of Leadville. Primarily on dirt roads, first set by miners and their burros, it will begin at the Cloud City Ski Hut (located just below Colorado Mountain College on Hwy 24 on the South end of Leadville). The route takes runners through the grand and historic mining district.

Leadville Boom Days is a Colorado Mountain Festival and historical celebration of the Old West, with gunslingers, burro races, contests of mining skill, and a street fair with over 100 food and craft booths. Bring your whole family!

A scenic 100 mile out and back in the midst of the Colorado Rockies. Lowest point is 9,200 ft., rising to Hope Pass at 12,600 ft. The majority of the race is on forest trails with some mountain roads. Pacers allowed after the 50 mile point.
